Das Debut von I'm Not A Band!
Sie sind elektronisch und sie sind aus Berlin. Doch schon der Künstlername „I’m not a Band“ suggeriert, dass diese Combo gerne mal aus konventionellen Rahmen ausbricht. Stephan Jung, Gründer und Kopf der Band entdeckte schon früh seine Leidenschaft für Geige und klassische Musik. Aber erst seine Aufenthalte in Kultur- und Musikhochburgen wie London und Berlin hatten Einfluss auf sein kurz darauf entstehendes Musikprojekt „I’m not a Band“: Tanzbarer, elektronischer Clubsound, welcher die eigentlichen stimmungslenkenden Elemente trägt: die Geigen und den Gesang. Genau diese Kombination erzeugt den etwas düsteren, dramatisch bis verspielten, durch und durch spannenden Sound von „I’m not a Band“. Ganz in Elektromanier münden viele Tracks in einem explosiven Ausbruch und ohrwurmträchtigen Refrains verlieren aber niemals den Bezug zu anspruchsvoller Musik.
Seit 2009 perfektioniert Kassandra P. mit Vocals und einer zweiten Geige das gelungene Konzept von „I’m not a Band“. Nach Shows in ganz Deutschland, Polen, Schweiz und Großbritannien, legt das Musikerduo glanzvoll nach mit dem ersten Album „Electrolin“ und einem Video zu „Crazy“.

They are electronic and they are from Berlin. It's their artist name "I'm not a Band" that reveals that this combo is something special and likes to break conventions. Stephan J. founder and musical brain behind the band soon learned his affinity to the violin and classical music. His residence in musical and cultural strongholds London and Berlin influenced him to found this project of danceable and electronic clubsound underlining the essential and mood directing elements: the violins and the vocals. This combination is what creates the blend of sometimes gloomy and dramatic, yet playful and frisky and all through thrilling sound of "I'm not a Band". In a manner that is typical for electronic music most of their songs lead into explosive outbursts and catchy verses, yet never losing the reference to sophisticated music. Since 2010 Kassandra P. perfects the unique concept with her outstanding vocals and a second violin. After shows allover Germany, Poland, Switzerland and even Great Britain "I'm not a Band" ups the ante with their first full lenght album "Electrolin" and a professional video to "Crazy".
